Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 2026
Our Commitment
Accessibility is our business, so we hold our own website to the same standard we ask of our clients. We are committed to making simplyblackandwhite.com usable by everyone — including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, and other assistive technologies.
We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time task. As we add content and features, we test and refine to keep barriers out.
Conformance Target
We aim to meet — and where practical, exceed — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), are the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility.
Level AA is the benchmark most commonly referenced in accessibility law and industry practice. Where feasible, we also implement Level AAA enhancements such as stronger color contrast.
What We've Done
- Semantic HTML structure with proper landmarks (
header, nav, main, footer) - A "Skip to main content" link as the first focusable element on every page
- Visible keyboard focus indicators throughout
- Logical heading hierarchy for screen reader navigation
- Descriptive text for meaningful images and icons
- Labels associated with every form field
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA ratios
- Live status regions that announce form results to assistive technology
- Full functionality without requiring a mouse
- Support for browser zoom and text resizing without loss of content
Ongoing Effort
We regularly scan our own site with the same tools we use for clients, and we address issues as they surface. Accessibility is never "finished" — content changes, browsers update, and standards evolve. We monitor and maintain accordingly.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some limitations may exist. Third-party embedded content (such as fonts served by external providers) is partially outside our direct control. If you encounter a barrier anywhere on our site, we want to know — and we'll work to fix it promptly.
Feedback & Contact
If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of this website, or if you have suggestions for improvement, please reach out through our contact form. We take every accessibility report seriously and aim to respond within one business day.
When reporting an issue, it helps if you can tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using — but any feedback at all is welcome.
A Note on Guarantees
We describe our own conformance honestly. We do not claim to be "100% compliant" or "fully accessible," because no site that changes over time can honestly make a permanent guarantee. What we can say is that we actively work to reduce barriers and improve accessibility — the same approach we bring to every client engagement.
